2. Construct the Stud Framing

IMPORTANT! If a shower door will be installed, refer to the shower door installation instructions for any

special framing considerations.

NOTE: When constructing the subﬂoor, make sure it is plumb and level with respect to the stud framing.

NOTE: Stud pocket tolerance is +1/4″ (6 mm), -0″ (-0 mm) when ﬁre-rated material wall is speciﬁed.

Dimensions are to the inside of the wallboard.

Construct 2x4 or 2x6 stud framing according to the roughing-in information for your particular

model.

NOTE: If necessary, leave one of the stud pocket walls loose until the shower receptor is moved into

position. After the receptor has been moved into position, and it is aligned to the stud framing, make sure

it is level before fastening. Refer to the ″Prepare the Receptor″ section for additional instructions.

Provide double or triple stud framing around the opening of the stud pocket.

Verify that the stud pocket framing is square and plumb.

Verify the subﬂoor is level. Shim as necessary.
